New Job

I started my part time job at Meals on Wheels last Monday. It just fell in my lap, they needed someone part time and they knew I was looking for a job. The first part of the morning I check the cold lunches and put them in order. Then I set everything up for the hot lunches. The hospital kitchen staff makes the hot lunches and I have been either sealing the trays with this fancy hot press or putting them in order in the right bags. There are always a couple of people helping or another person I work with in the kitchen. The guy that trained me is also in the kitchen everyday helping and being sassy. Then I either deliever a route or go back to the office where I put lables in order for the next day. Simple and the 4 hours go pretty fast. Everyone is nice and I also get a free meal which is great. Soon I will be doing the newsletter which I'm not too excited about since I think it goes to all the board memebers and I have no idea what news there is. They are hoping to make the position permenate but they know I am still looking for a full time job. But for now it's not bad-my commute is only 3 blocks.

  1. Well that is cool! A free meal is also always good. Is it a cold walk to work everyday?
